It's responsive and comfortable as an everyday driver and it's ready to do some serious work when called upon. The 2500 in regular cab has an 8ft cargo bed and is 229. 7-inches long. The quad cab comes either with a 6. 3ft or 8ft cargo bed. The standard engine options are a cummins 325 hp 5. 9-liter turbo-diesel inline-six or the 235 hp 4. 7-liter hemi v-8. The power wagon edition comes with a 345 hp 5. 7-liter hemi v-8. For all the engines a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic is available. Other performance parts include locking front and rear differentials and polished aluminum 17-inch wheels. For 2006, the dodge ram 2500 is largely redesigned. It has also been modestly restyled and the interior has been upgraded.
