1950 ford crestliner - utah showroom 1950 saw a new crestliner "sports sedan"—a 2-door sedan with 2-tone paint intended to battle chevrolet's popular hardtop coupe of 1950. The 1949 and 1950 styling was similar, with a single central "bullet" in the frowning chrome grille. In the center there was a red space that had either a 6 or 8 depending if the car had the six-cylinder engine or the v8. The trim lines were renamed as well, with "standard" becoming "deluxe" and "custom" renamed "custom deluxe". This crestliner has been fully restored with all of it's correct and unique trim, right down to emblems, wheel covers and vinyl top. It features the 239 ci flathead v8 2 barrel carb rated at 100 hp and 3-speed manual transmission.

The new fords got the now-famous "ford crest" which appeared on the division's vehicles for many decades in one form or another. This crestliner has been custom restored to period correct specs. The two-tone bumble bee paint scheme is a real attention getter. Custom chrome exterior trim also help to set this car apart from the others the interior trim matches the exterior. It is powered by a flat head v-. 8 with a clay smith cam, dual carberetors and an offenhauser intake. The detail on this car make it really exceptional. The chassis is as nuicely detailed as the underhood and trunk.

Just picked from a field in jackson hole wyoming and she runs and drives! As the story goes, one of the thermostats locked up and she was parked for about 30 years. The body is in amazing shape including floors and normal rust areas. Interior needs a complete overhaul and that's all i'd really do after getting everything mechanically sound. It has the original straight six flat head motor which still starts up and runs decent. It has the original heavy duty head which makes it i think a 284 ci. It has a 4 speed, split axle. In fortunately the brakes are shot even the emergency.
