For sale is my 2000 mercury cougar special edition. I started modifying it right after i bought it, purchasing 1 or 2 parts here and there. I finally completed it a few months ago. It always passes safety and emissions with ease. The car runs and drives fantastic! I made sure the car stopped and handled as good as, if not better than, it accelerated. The car stops extremely well and the suspension mods allow it to handle the curviest roads with ease but still comfortable to drive the top and bottom mounted anti sway bar combined with the lowered stance makes for little or no body role. The motor sounds great with upgraded intake and exhaust (it sounds throaty and not like a rice burner) and it idles perfectly and accelerates smooth and quick. The nos was more for show and for fun. Even though the car has not been raced, it is really fast with the nos on, specially 1st thru 4th gears. I have put 3 bottles through it with no hiccups and the plugs were removed and inspected after each use. It’s currently fitted with a . 75 shot which is recommended for this application. Because this is a relatively small amount of nitrous, it has in no way damaged the motor. I made sure the motor was thoroughly inspected before and after the nitrous was installed and everything checks out. This is one of the fastest 8th gen cougars out there. I looked all over and i have never found another cougar like this running nitrous. While this car is really quick on just motor. Its priceless to see the look on peoples face. I have been very meticulous with the maintenance on this car. I run only synthetic lubricants throughout and had the car completely gone through. Aside from the chassis and block, the rest of the car has less than 50,000 miles. Most of the mods have way less. The tranny is smooth and shifts like butter. The car is always garaged and it has not seen rain or snow in years. These is also no rust or any other issues. This is a turn key car that needs nothing and is super reliable. The pictures really don't do this car any justice. The paint and interior look so much better in person. Everything works perfectly! I spared no expense when it came to this car as i wanted everything to be right. The paint is original and in really good shape for being 17 years old. There are a few minor rock chips and minor scratches and such, but the body is in good to excellent condition. The interior is in about 98% or higher condition. No tears, rips, or other issues. The car is a head turner and i always get comments and questions about the car. I have put the car in local car shows and people just love it. I hate to see it go but it’s time to move on to the next project so this one needs a good home with someone who will appreciate the time and work i have put into this car. It comes with cold ac, power everything, sun roof and all the custom features that came stock on this car. I'm only selling this car to fund my next build (mustang svo). It's taken a lot of time and vision to create a 1 of a kind cougar. I wanted to make a cougar that had more in common with the original 60's cougars that were about performance and style and not ground effects and 2 billion watt stereo crap! I have way over 5k in just mods in this car, many of which took years to acquire as many aftermarket parts have become very hard to find. Please feel free to speak with my mechanic ( i will supply his info upon request). All mods have been installed by me or a certified mechanic and i can supply receipts for the work completed. I may consider a "reasonable offer", however, i'm in no hurry to sell it. I also have more pics available. I may entertain a "reasonable offer". Air Conditioning
