It's just a photo of what i had wished to turn mine into, i love em stock.. I had to post it to get some attention! .. Sorry, i'm desperate i guess. I drove this c3 vette to my shop last fall and have been so busy i haven't had the time to touch it again! Ive always dreamed of customizing an 81' c3 vette. This is my favorite body style because they put the slopeback rear window on the shark body instead of the little flat panel window. After a long time i finally found the perfect one. I had one of my employees remove the marker lights, pop off chrome trim & door panels to grease the electric window tracks, and label them in a box. That's all he did, so the car is fully intact.. Lights and door panels need to be popped back on. All i ever had time to do was sketch out ideas & keep dreaming! The reality of it all hit me hard lastnight, so i have to put my dreams aside and get my priorities in order. That means my cars have to go first. The vette ran good when i drove it over last fall, and it fired right up yesterday after i put a few drops of gas in the carb. It has 85k original miles. Powered by an l81 5. 7 liter v8 with a 4 speed manual transmission, electronic ignition and a 4 barrel edelbrock carb. Everything is electric, seats, windows, doors etc and works fine as far as i know. It has absolutely brand new original factory corvette sport tires that cost a fortune, on original vette alloy mags, (which also cost a fortune!) it has the awesome original mirrored t tops & factory air conditioning. The red interior is in really good condition.. Could use a good detail for sure! The previous owner prepped it sprayed the primer. It was all ready to roll into the paint booth, which is one of the reasons i bought it, but since fall it looks like a few spots have chipped and a couple of minor cracks in the primer.. My plan was to tear it down to the frame and completely customize it into a show stopping restomod. I love these cars and hate to see it go, but there's no choice, so i'm willing to work on the price and know i will probably lose $ on it, but if it helps take some pressure off of my situation i will be thankful. I know it's hard to put a price on classic cars, especially these vettes! All i can do is go off of whats online and what i payed. I know i got an amazing deal when i look at the average sale price of these. Nada shows the low value at $13,825.. Average at $19,145.. And high at $32,520! I was surprised but after looking around the country online, that's about right.. I saw a few for $60-$125k! And on ksl c3's go from $7,500 to $30,000. I'm not going to worry about the market value though, my doc says any stress management would help greatly. So, im gonna go off of my credit card fees! Someone is going to steal this from me, but i'll be handing them the keys with a smile, knowing i won't have so much anxiety this week!.. So throw an offer at me, i'm really willing to work on the price with someone, but please don't low ball me to the point of causing even more pain!! Nada low..$13,825... Ksl local average..$12,000... Less than $10,000... My latest credit card bill?... If i wasn't in this situation i'd take another day and detail it get it more presentable, knowing it would sell for much more,, but i don't have the time or energy.. I've struggled with this decision, but have made up my mind.. It'll be hard to see it go, but harder if it doesn't. Let's make a deal that were both happy with! Air Conditioning
